No idea, I have the same issue going on at the moment. I assume a server issue.

This is the problem with HTTPS certificates. Already reported https://boinc.berkeley.edu/forum_thread.php?id=14413

See http://wuprop.boinc-af.org/forum_thread.php?id=575&postid=8360#8360 for the quick temporary fix.

I too could fix the issue with a copy of my Ubuntu 21.04 Linux ca-ceritificates.crt certificate

added the version info

could just check: Ubuntu 20.04.3 LTS does have the same file

just replace the ca-bundle.crt certificate and restart the upload

a restart of the boinc-client is not needed

Just found about the reported issue on the WUprop forum as well. Did work for me smoothly as well to just exchange the ca-bundle certificates! Thx

A couple of Linux systems can't upload even with the correct certificate. Transient HTTP error message, can't connect to website.

If you have the correct certificate and things still don't upload or download, then you may have to detach and re-attach to the project.

I had to do this on 5 different projects, three of which were http not https, all were on Windows both XP and 7.

My Linux machine didn't miss a beat.

Plus if using Firefox it stores it's own list of certificates and if up to date will work even if some Windows files don't as they rely on the computer for certificate information.

I had to import and install the new ISRG Root X1 certificate as an individual .pem file to get some of the Windows things working properly. Explorer still does not work but I don't use it so no problem there.

Deattaching and reattaching worked with Wuprop, but not with Sidock, boinc manager can not connect to sidock site to join.

At least for 64 bit Windows 10, BOINC 7.16.20 is now available and should include a cure for this problem.
