Windows machine can not give more than 3-4% CPU utilization. CPU settings is 75% of the CPU with 100% CPU time. What can be possibly causing this? |

Windows machine can not give more than 3-4% CPU utilization. What memory do you have and what are the memory settings in Boinc? What are the suspend settings? What tasks are running? |

Similar problem. 14 core i7 windows 11 machine. I had CPUs to be used set to 30% CPU time at 60% and the CPU usage would bounce between a few percent and 100 a couple of times per second. I have stopped downloads from SiDock and the problem appears to have disappeared even with percent of CPUs at 80%. I have the machine set to run off of local preferences, and I have CPU and GPU set to run based on preferences. |

Got an unexpected spread between WU runtime and CPU time with Win 11, like 70% cpu time compared to runtime. Seems not to be limited to cmdock alone. Curiously, Boinc on Linux on the same machine does not have this problem. I am am using a i5-13500 Intel-CPU with Win 11 Pro 22H2 and Ubuntu Linux 23.04, respectively. With Win 11 cmdock is not going above 9% CPU usage per thread, while an Einstein GPU task is using 13% CPU (part-time). Any idea how to fix that? Too much wasted runtime an Windows. Should switch to Linux permanently then. |
