I see there is a linux app too. Does that require any additional items to be installed like with the windows app?

There shouldn't be. But now we just don't have new tasks, because an important part of the process is gathering the results and now we work at it.

Hello,

I created an account easily via the website but I cannot attach my linux Debian 9 host to it (boinc 7.14.2)

jerome@vpsxxxx:/var/lib/boinc-client$ boinccmd --project_attach http://188.68.219.141/sidocktest/ <my_key>
Operation failed: authentication error

The key is correct, found on http://188.68.219.141/sidocktest/weak_auth.php

(I tried using https : same issue)

Could it be linked to the boinc version ?

may be. post your version.
or compare with others in the top host list

you can manually create an accounting file and restart the service

/var/lib/boinc/account_188.68.219.141_sidocktest.xml
<account>
    <master_url>http://188.68.219.141/sidocktest/</master_url>
    <authenticator>***key***</authenticator>
    <project_name>sidocktest</project_name>
</account>

look at the logs immediately after trying to connect

tail -f -n 25 boinc/stdoutdae.txt

As stated above the version is 7.14.2 but it worked with the xml file you suggested, it is now connected to the project (after restarting boinc), only it has no task available for the moment.

Thanks !
