Hello,
Any idea when you will turn on the stats export function?

Some statistics website like https://statsbzh.boinc-af.org/ will need it.

Thank you

First we plan to make the permanent project (I hope it will be in November). But we plan to save all existing stats and transfer them into the permanent project.

Now that there is a real domain name, does that mean stats can be exported?

Hello! :)
Now that there is a real domain name, does that mean stats can be exported?

But the transition to a "production " project is necessary.

Ah. I misunderstood the requirement. Is there an ETA for transitioning to production?

Is there an ETA for replying to zombie67's perfectly good question? - or in other words "Bump" ;-)

But while I am here, now that you have a real domain name, and as you have all the stats that you expect to be exporting when you have a Production project, then why can't you export them now?
I mean, if people are doing stuff for you now, and you are storing the stats, then why not export them? Then any teething problems with the export can be ironed out before the "Production" project comes online.

Hi Mark!

This project names as "SiDock@home test", not "SiDock@home". If we start to export stats now, we cannot move this stats into production project.
To switch to an production project, we need to do at least 2 more things:

  • Confirm that application is stable;
  • Decide, which server to use.

Is the expectation that the RakeSearch project will be taken down when the last work from Gerasim has been completed, then that server hardware will be used to host the SiDock@home project in its own right ?

No, it's independent projects. And this is does not have a sense. For example: average size of result in RakeSearch (in current search) ~ 0.7 kb, but average size of result in SiDock@Home test - 5.7 Mbytes, more than 8140 times larger.
For RakeSearch we can use a tiny virtual machine, but not for SiDock@home because current "daily data size" is about 165 Gbytes. Obviously, when we complete transition to "production" we must ready to volumes of data many times larger.

I knew they were bigger but hadn't noticed they were that much larger !

Do you have a plan or are you hoping for a large server to magically appear ?
Natalia hoped it would be November but time is running out for that, in December you could ask Santa ;)

Oh, yes! May be it's a cool solution! Santa processes and store the hundreds of millions messages. Obviously, he must have a huge data center! With the best cooling and, who knows - overclocked servers! Santa Cloud!

Is there any ETA on stats export so that bok's stats at Free-DC can include this project?

Hello vaughan! For stats export, we have to make the project regular (not test). Let's target December 10, when we either announce it regular or tell the current situation.

OK, I'm passed 500,000 points now so I'm bailing out. Do let us know when the project starts exporting stats to bok's stats at Free-DC. It is a pity this is a test project that refuses to export stats as there have been many other test projects or beta platforms that have exported. The concern is that when and if you decide on a "non-test" URL for the stable project that the stats will be reset to zero, so why waste electricity now?

Bye for now.

Vaughan
