Is this the replacement for RXdock?
I don't see it on the Applications list nor is it on the Preferences list yet.
Be glad to run it when it arrives.
What's the difference between CurieMarieDock 1.01 and CMDock 0.11?

Great news for us ARM BOINCers!

Have you tried compiling for ARM64 as well?

In my oppinion Is the same product. Maybe little inconsistence in naming. I will ask main developer M. Jukic about differences between them. The best of all is that you can downoad software for using in own chemoinformatics and drug design problems.

It looks like a stand-alone program to me, not a BOINC app.
It just looks like a later version of this: https://covid.si/en/quick-start/
I ran it for a short while, but it does not give as much information or control as BOINC.

Boinc was our first choice in the beggining of the COVID.SI project, but unfortunately no one
from core team had knowledge to setup Boinc server properly. So we developed own server client system that is on duty almost one year. There is not so many information for users but system: https://covid.si/en/quick-start/ is working. We already screened more than 10 M ligands to 60 targets related to SARS CoV 2. The sistem that we sat is lighweight but in future we can include some credit system to motivate users, this require login system
(this is not big issue) with GDPR compilance. Dealing with users data is very delicate and in Slovenia we have huge penalties is something goes wrong. We will not retire our system, we decided to use it for boutique projects. Since the system is json configured we can screen small subsets of whole database to specific target.

After months of running server/client system on Covid.si we meet an excellent team from Petrozavodsk, Karelia, Russia, which helped us to set up Boinc server for the project, even more they offer us full support and now Natalia and her collaborators are part of COVID.SI core group.

Together we are stronger ;-)

Great to see finally ARM binaries available :)

So it should now be possible to participate in SiDock@home with ARM computers? (as i already asked here: https://www.sidock.si/sidock/forum_thread.php?id=67)

But its still not in the application list. Is it just not high on your to-do list (which is completely understandable - science first) or are there some problems / technical difficulties?

All the best

There are so many things to do, but yes, we remember the ARM and aim to make it an official app version.

No problem! No hurry, i can imagine there are a lot of things to do in this young project.

Meanwhile i have managed to get the official cmdock binaries from Marko Jukićs Gitlab to work with the project on my ARMs!

And i have some very good news:

My Raspberry Pi 3 Model B+ (https://www.sidock.si/sidock/show_host_detail.php?hostid=8318) and my Raspberry Pi 4 Model B http://(https://www.sidock.si/sidock/show_host_detail.php?hostid=2358) are producing 100% valid results for a few days now! :-)

Note that you will need good cooling (e.g. large heatsink, better with active cooling) if you choose to run BOINC on single board computers like Raspberry Pi that may not require cooling when only used for light tasks like server etc.!

Cheers and happy crunching

Great news!!! Thank you for testing! We should definitely make it an official app version. (Just not now, when the BOINC Sprint starts soon and the weekend will be hot even without Raspberry Pis heating!) :)

Dear Spectrum,

what platform do you specify in cc_config.xml? Is it arm-unknown-linux-gnueabihf?

Hello Natalia,

i think i didn't have to specify anything in the cc_config.xml because i used the "Anonymous Platform" which solely relies on the settings in the app_info.xml (https://boinc.berkeley.edu/wiki/Anonymous_platform). This ignores all official patforms as far as i know.

But when i add the project without the app_info.xml i get the error "This project does not support computers of the type "arm-unknown-linux-gnueabihf". Raspberry Pi OS 32-bit is arm-unknown-linux-gnueabihf by default. So i think arm-unknown-linux-gnueabihf is the right platform to specify for a 32bit-ARM (Raspberry Pi / Raspberry Pi OS compatible) client app.

As i remember "RakeSearch for rank 10" had an official app for arm-unknown-linux-gnueabihf as well : https://rake.boincfast.ru/rakesearch/apps.php

Greetings

Spectrum

P. S. Just in case it helps bulding an offical app : This is my app_info.xml (note that "sidockwrapper" is the BOINC Wrapper compiled from the official BOINC sources on ARM):

I just noticed that the app_info.xml i posted above has a typo. Of course the wrapper executable and the wrapper-job.xml need to have the same filename in the <file_info> and the <app_version> section.
